Genesis can be divided up in a variety of ways. Below are the most common ways of dividing Genesis into either two, six, or twelve sections.
Genesis is often divided into two sections: chapters 1-11 and 12-50.

The Parashah structure includes 12 portions telling one unified story of Beginnings of God’s Rest on earth (compare Jer. 6:16 and Mat. 11:28-30).
